America

Author's Note- You are going to be reading about Patriotism and how America has it.

Everyone has their own definition for the word Patriotism. For some that word means hard working and responsible. For others it means free speech and confidence. No matter what you think of when you hear that word, patriotism, we all have it in some way. Some people show it more than others, but the point is that all of us show it.

You may know the colors of the American Flag; but do you know what those colors mean? Red stands for toughness and stoutness. White stands for purity and innocence. Blue stands for caution. Those are big words that have very powerful meanings. It makes sense for the colors of the American flag to have powerful meanings; well because the American Flag is a very strong and powerful thing.

Every veteran that is fighting for us or fought for us, is a true Patriot. They risked their life for their country. Every day going out and fighting knowing that there might not be a tomorrow. That is a risk they are willing to take, and that takes a lot of guts to go out there and fight for your life. I know that being a soldier is not really my forte; but if I really believed in it, I know that I could make do.

9/11 was a terrible tragedy that happened back in 2001. The attack killed about 3,000 people including victims and hijackers. Although it didn’t kill everyone, it just about scarred everyone for life.  Most of America was terrified to even step foot out of their home. They didn’t know where else the attacks may have taken place, or what was even really going on. Everyone was just scared and they wanted all the madness and chaos to end. Eventually all the ashes and debris was cleaned up, but after ten years they still haven’t re-built the twin towers.

When everyone comes together and helps each other out in our country, we are unstoppable. America can accomplish anything that we desire. Patriotism is a great thing that we can’t let slip out of our hands because it could be hard to get it back. Somehow America always seems to have Patriotism, and that’s the way it should be.

Love

Authors Note- In this story I am going to be talking about Love, and why we need it in the world, and why its so important.

Many people say love hurts. But is that statement honestly true? I mean, doesn’t rejection hurt? Don’t break ups hurt? Love is really the only thing in this world that gives us happiness. Love can change people from bad to good in only a matter of minutes. The whole world revolves around love, which is why everyone tries to hide it.

For example, the saying roses are red violets are blue… and so forth. It was meant to be a happy and cheerful poem. But as soon as kids got a hold of it, it suddenly became roses are red, violets are blue; and I hate you. The saying turned towards the violent side, and became mean and just hurtful. While the makers of this cute and entertaining poem meant for it to sound a little more like this… Roses are red, Violets are blue; I never knew love, until I met you. Now that’s something that’s going to put a smile on your face!

This question often crosses people’s minds; what do the letters of love stand for? Now this may not be correct, but this is my definition. L stands for Lemon chicken with capers, because that’s my comfort food when you realize that you just got dumped for some ugly chick named Rachel. O stands for Odd because that’s what you are but your lover looks past that. V is for when you two get married and the first thing you can afford is a vacuum cleaner. And finally E is for Every last minute you spend together before the next time you see them again, is in heaven.

Everyone’s love is different. Some people are high school sweet hearts, for some it’s love at first sight. And for some its E harmony or match.com. No matter how you meet, love is special for everyone. On that special day, all you want is for you and your honey to last forever. All you want to be smiling with them for the rest of your life till the day that you die. All you want… is love.
